CREAMY CHOCOLATE HEMP SEED BUTTER
There is everything to love about this yummy, creamy chocolate hemp seed butter, dairy and gluten free, great taste and lots of healthy nutrients.
Can be used as a spread for sandwiches, muffins and fruit (bananas!) or add extra creaminess and protein to your smoothie.
Hemp seeds are gift of nature, a real nutritional powerhouse! Filled with easy to digest protein, vitamins, minerals, enzymes and Omega 3, 6 and 9 in the right proportion.
Raw cacao has a high mineral content and a wealth of antioxidants.
Stevia has the wonderful ability to help the body regulate blood sugar levels.
1 ½ cup shelled hemp seeds
3 tablespoons (raw) cacao
2-3 tablespoons maple syrup
3 tablespoons coconut oil melted and slightly cooled (measured after melting)
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
a pinch of Celtic sea salt
a pinch of stevia leaf powder (optional)
Blend all the ingredients in your food processor or blender on high until smooth.
Taste and adjust flavors as desired. If the butter is too thick, add 1 more tablespoon of melted coconut oil and process on high for 12-20 seconds.
Depending on your food processor you can put this butter through a strainer for extra creaminess.
Store in the refrigerator in a glass jar with a lid.
Try adding a spoon full of sesame seed, delicious!
